Education Services
The GPUL works within the City of Phoenix and surrounding communities to provide children with brighter futures through innovative education, health and nutrition programs. The need for quality childhood and youth education programs is great and growing! To help shape the young leaders of tomorrow, the Greater Phoenix Urban League provides the following programs around the Valley.
Head Start
The GPUL's Head Start program is aimed at the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of Valley children from ages 3 through 5. The program is committed to enhancing the development of children, empowering families and strengthening communities. For additional information, please contact the GPUL at (602) 276-9305.
College Prep Program
The GPUL College Prep Program is a college-prep program for high school students around the Valley interested in attending college. The GPUL College Prep Program assesses a student's exam readiness and develops effective study habits tailored for the ACT and SAT exams. In addition, participants will learn how to research colleges, apply for admission, and secure financial aid and scholarships. For more information, contact GPUL at 602-254-5611.
